i'll let you on a secret. i was very very stubborn to NOT learn/do color prior to discovering watercolor.

that was 2 years ago.

well, i've learned a lot of important stuff since picking it up.
_{(but it's not like i've had a long career, i've only been actually doing it for a year or so haha)}

most important of them is how to relax and have fun. watercolor is a tough media as i heard... but i think it's only spontaneous and free. if you learn how to ride this spontaneity, watercolor can actually be quite a good, fun friend.

when you say "mistakes" or "going out of the lines", it's watercolor's way of saying "you have to shift your perspective."


for now i will say i'm still going through the bulk of learning this medium, and i look forward to more good times in the future. (and hopefully i can be more "serious" with it ;9)
