here, have some schoolwork
...er. yup, we don't just draw and draw in art school. (although we do draw a lot. for this project we were assigned to make a paper-cut sculpture, inspired by the works of Peter Callesen. the objective is to utilise both 3D and 2D (in the form of negative space) to create a "sculpture", plus some underlying drama. visit the link. you'll lock your jaw. note: the only paper to use for the 3D sculpture are the pieces cut-out from the sheet to make the 2D negative, and the 3D must still be literally attached to the sheet (not just glued). only white glue is used. 9"x14" 90gsm paper on 10"x15" illust. board (backside) total dimensions: 10"x15"x6" lotsa drama. just the way i liek it. not too bad to have a diverse gallery, i suppose. |
